Paint Sludge Dewatering

In automotive and many other paint booths, the overspray is collected in water curtains and baths. This contaminated water is then treated to agglomerate the paint particles, creating a sludge.

This is typically done by concentrating the solids in a consolidator with the concentrated sludge discharging into a two-stage vacuum-assisted sludge filter for final paint sludge dewatering and disposal of the sludge. The special design of the sludge filter causes the sludge to be dry enough for land filling. Complete system packages including tanks, pumps, heat exchanger and controls can be proposed. Filtertech equipment used for Paint Sludge Dewatering Filtration include:

Vacuum Filters

(SCF, HVSCF, FLA)

Sludge Dewatering Filters

(SDU, SF, GSF)

Centrifuges

(Automatic and Manual)
