This application includes coolant filtration for drawing of insulating wire and cable of nonferrous (copper, brass, etc.) wire.
When drawing nonferrous wire, a water-soluble emulsion is often used. This emulsion must be continuously filtered to eliminate the fines which would increase die wear and reduce die and capstan life.
