Media Filters
Filtertech offers the most comprehensive line of automatic indexing media filters available today. These include gravity filters, air-vacuum filters, liquid-vacuum filters, pressure filters and sludge filters. These filters are available in a variety of sizes to meet your filtration requirements. Typically indexing media filters are used for the clarification of low viscosity liquids. For extremely fine filtration of viscous oils, Filtertech offers its absorption filter.
For removal of ferrous (magnetically attracted) particulates from various aqueous solutions, the Model MSI magnetic separator provides efficient clarification. In addition, the Model MSI also provides removal of tramp oils which are often present in rolling and machine coolants.
Centrifuges
For the removal of solids from water-soluble and viscous liquids, centrifugal separation provides efficient clarification without the need of disposable filter media. Filtertech offers a complete line of fully-automatic and manual centrifuges in various sizes to meet specific processing requirements. Centrifugal separation is typically used on a bypass loop or full flow when flowrates are relatively low.
Wastewater Evaporators
To minimize disposal of spent aqueous wastes and coolants, the Model TEB wastewater evaporator provides low cost reduction in waste volume to minimize waste and subsequent disposal costs. The TEB is available in a wide range of production rates to meet your disposal needs.
Vacuum Distillation Systems
For the recovery or purification of aluminum and steel rolling oils, the Model VDU provides effective removal of tramp oils, hydrocarbon by-products and other contaminants. The VDU is available in several sizes to meet production requirements. The efficient design of the VDU utilizes high vacuum (low pressure) distillation of the dirty oil to recover up to 90% of the roll oil without loss or decomposition of the additive package.
Oil-Water Separation
For the removal of tramp oils from aqueous solutions and emulsions, the Model OWS Oil-Water Separator separates the suspended oil droplets from the water phase causing the droplets to rise to the surface of the liquid. For removal of floating tramp oils, the Model DTOS Dual Tube Oil Skimmer is used which by the use of a moving collection tube conveys the tramp oil out of the tank or
pond and into a collection container for disposal. The OWS is available in various sizes to meet your flow requirements. The DTOS is available in single or dual tube style with variable tube lengths to meet skimming surface area needs.
Auxiliary Equipment
To improve waste handling from the discharge of indexing media filters the Model SMR fully-automatic spent media rewinder collects the spent filter media from the discharge of the filter and winds it into a tight roll which can easily be handled for disposal.
For the collection of sludge discharged from a
self-cleaning conveyorized tank, the Model SDU Sludge Dewatering Unit removes the excess free liquids from the sludge and discharges the sludge into a container for disposal.
